Raw date & nut energy balls

 

These nutritious raw energy balls are great for a sweet treat. They are perfect for a long day in the office or ideal for a childrens lunch box. Protein powder can be added for an extra energy boost.

Ingredients (makes 10 energy balls)

125g ground almonds                        8  dates, chopped (soaked for 2-3 hours)

50g desicated cocounut                     2 tbsp ground flax seeds

2 tbsp raisins                                    3-4 tbls agave syrup

Extra desiccated coconut for coating

 

 

To make:

  1. Mix almonds, coconut and flax seeds in a food processor
  2. Slowly add dates & raisins
  3. Add agave syrup and blend. If mixure is too dry then add a little of the soaking water from the dates
  4. From into equal size balls, roll in desiccated coconut and refridgerate
